Mia Thornton is an award-winning creative producer working across audio, visual, and multi-platform media.

She specialises in storytelling that amplifies underrepresented perspectives, challenges stereotypes, and empowers communities to tell their own stories.

Mia has collaborated with a wide range of organisations, from grassroots collectives to global brands, including the BBC, New Balance, Black Ballad and NHS, producing creative campaigns and editorial content that resonates with diverse audiences.

In 2025, she was recognised with the British Podcast Awards’ Rising Star award and the Audio Production Awards’ New Producer award. Most recently, Mia produced and hosted Instrumental: Black British Trailblazers for BBC Sounds’ Audio Lab - a series celebrating the overlooked contributions of Black British artists across classical, dance, punk, folk and pop.

She is passionate about using media to shift narratives, spark conversation, and build community, and is currently open to new freelance opportunities in audio, digital storytelling and creative production.
