FACT Liverpool - Reimagining Black Futures

"REIMAGINING BLACK FUTURES," is a collaborative initiative by Sumuyya, Ni Maxine, and Mia Thornton, which launched in October 2023 as a dynamic gathering for North West Black creatives in Liverpool.

The event served as a welcoming space for genuine conversations about the experiences of Black creatives and envisioned transformative changes in both personal lives and the local creative community. Attendees had the opportunity to mingle, engage in heartfelt discussions, enjoy sounds curated by DJ Papu Raf, and explore a month-long art showcase featuring works by Julian Gill, Anthony Wild, and Sumuyya Khader.

REIMAGINING BLACK FUTURES is commissioned by FACT Liverpool using public funding by Arts Council England and is funded by Liverpool City Council.
