Instrumental: Black British Trailblazers - 6Music Edit

As part of the BBC Sounds Audio Lab programme, Mia developed, produced, and hosted a documentary-style podcast spotlighting the overlooked contributions of Black British artists across genres including classical, dance, punk, pop and folk.

Following the success of the series, 6Music commissioned extended one-hour edits of the Punk, Dance, Folk, and Pop episodes for broadcast, bringing these stories to an even wider audience. Mia’s role encompassed creative development, scripting, presenting, and production oversight - blending storytelling, music, and cultural insight to reframe the narrative of British music history.
