To celebrate Simone’s Cocktail Bar’s first birthday, Brown Sugar was invited to curate a Sunday evening event that brought music, community and good energy into the space.

With Solange’s A Seat at the Table celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, we saw the perfect opportunity to honour an album that continues to resonate, bringing our community together for an evening of listening, singing and dancing.

Simone’s hi-fi sound system provided the perfect setting to experience the album as it was intended, with signature cocktails, vinyl giveaways and a room full of people celebrating a record that means so much to so many.
